Texas Roadhouse in Mattdews

Sara has been my preferred bartender for years now and she never disappoints. She kind, courteous, one hell of a conversationalist and easy on the eyes. Definitely one of the reasons I’ve continued and will continue to be a loyal patron of Texas Roadhouse Matthews. Also the chef Juan cooks a mean steak.

Wohooo!!! Awesome food, awesome prices, awesome servers (thanks Kristy - you did an awesome job!). We loved everything - no complaints.

John is one of the best servers I've had. Very quick and fantastic listening skills. Very funny also! Will definitely come back rather than any other location!

Was told that it would be a 10-15 minutes long wait for a party of two which was fine. Then I stood around for 30 minutes and watched several parties of two get seated who arrived after us. Won’t be back. Food isn’t good enough to wait 30+ minutes

I I miss this place a lot when it was in the next door location from the moment they moved to other side of shopping center their steaks are tase like burn. It’s not the same anymore unfortunately I and my whole family, we are not coming here no more. We feel like we waisted our money and time. Please go back to the same style of cooking.

Can't go wrong with Texas Roadhouse. Loved it. They just didn't have my favorite - the hot bread with sweet butter. That takes away one star as this is very vital to me when it comes to Texas Roadhouse :/

Awesome food and friendly servers and staff.

You can find better food, and better portions else where but it’s not bad in a crunch when you want to choose your own steak to eat.

Terrible, went for a birthday celebrationThere were 4 of us.Our food came out all wrong.1 steak supposed to be rib eye no idea what it was burnt to a crisp was supposed to be medium.Other 3 orders were prime rib, all came out ice cold and sides were just as cold.Had to send back.When it came back only thing right was rib eye meal.They gave us rolls to take home to make up for it. Really!!! I don't see myself going back.We were so looking forward to a nice time out. I don't even think they deserve 1 star if there were no stars that's what I would give them.

Did an online order this past Saturday. Everything was perfect from timing to food. Thankyou Texas Roadhouse for your continued good service and food during this time.

Great experience!They were super organized and well set up for the ‘social distancing take out’ and all the employees were super friendly and just appeared to be enjoying themselves.

Is our 3rd time that we order carry out during their closure due to COVID19 , they have messed up our order three times !! Today we ordered well done steaks we got them rare . I ordered two salads they didn’t have any dressing ( I asked for extra dressing ) Our son ordered sprite and instead he got plain soda water . I had a busy day at work and I didn’t want to cook tonight , but honestly this time they did it ! I will Not be coming back!

It was packed for a Saturday but the food took forever. The mozzarella sticks were cold. A few things were forgotten. The pulled pork was VERY spicy and had some sweetness, but not normal NC pulled pork. It was nice dancing performance however.

Delicious as always. There was a short wait, where you now wait in your car. Checking in is easy drive up in the parking lot. Then they text you and you go in and eat. Food was delicious

Warning first-peanut allergy folks may want to avoid here.(they, as always, still present peanuts to snack on...shells and dust present). As always, great food and folks. Everything cooked great (Yes, even the green beans). In addition to peanuts, yeast rolls also provided for pre-dinner. Bring your Texas-sized stomach...though boxes available.

After years of loving this Texas Roadhouse it was super disappointing to go tonight and not have them enforce or even encourage masks. You pull up and they have a really great process in place but it’s not really meaningful when 35% of the guests are NOT wearing masks (yes I counted folks coming in and roughly every 3 family being seated wasn’t masked) AND several of the workers are either not wearing properly or at all. Servers were wearing them. Food was good and our server Abbie was great. But we won’t be back for a while now.

On July 9, 2020, they allowed roughly fifty percent of the patrons to enter without masks at dinner time when we were there. This was our first time venturing out, unfortunately. It was a very uncomfortable meal as a result. We were told they had to let unmasked people in and couldn’t say or do anything about it, and we were told the mask/no mask ratio was about 50-50. Unacceptable!!!! We had a regular procession of unmasked people pass close by our table. We ate very quickly. My husband’s steak was good. Mine was way too salty and my sweet potato was overcooked, but my broccoli was good. They refilled his Diet Coke three times. I had to wait at least ten minutes before we could get anyone’s attention to refill my tea, and I was through with my meal when it finally arrived. It’s totally not worth the risk. We will not be returning any time soon.

I loved this Texas Roadhouse. If you are planning to go on a Sunday night you might want to do call ahead seating because it gets really busy. Jennifer was my server and she was very attentive and fast. She explained the difference in steaks and helped us pick our meal. When our meal came, fresh and hot, our jaw dropped. The portions are huge for the price.

We’ve gone here for years, dine in is excellent but take out is a much different experience. Our food is routinely short of what we ordered (rolls, butter, sauces, side dishes). We order 12 rolls, get 8. We order well done, get rare; we never get honey mustard sauce for the kids’ nuggets. The first time we looked past it, when it continued to happen with every order it became clear they’re not very good at the takeout business.

Service has lacked as of late. Asked for food well done and it was very rare. A hair in my sweet potato. My catfish was so over cooked the fish wood disintegrate without needing to chew. We did not eat the food. The manager offered to correct issue but we declined.

A+ fave place for our family. Its loud in there so my crazy toddler isnt bothering anyone. Food is so bomb and I always have to get skinny margarita (with a kicker!!) Love it <3

This is the best Texas Roadhouse I have been to and one of my favorite restaurants. I have been to many high end steak restaurants, including Capital Grille, Ruth's Chris, Del Frisco's, etc. This Texas Roadhouse beats them all everytime in consistency. They steak is alway cooked exactly as requested and service is great. You know it is good because it is packed every night of the week. Keep it up!

I have eaten here twice with family the last 2 weeks and both times service was amazing! Will be back :)

They seem to have been struggling through the shut down and had a few meals that were real misses but now that the dining room is open again it looks like there getting it together. This meal was much better than the last couple. If the trend continues for my next visits the rating will go up.

Went on 8/8 to the matthews location after having issues at the Concord location. When i say we cant win for losing because the same thing happened again. Steak was sent back twice due to be uncooked and lightly burnt. My husband orders steak all the time and we seem to run into trouble here. The waitress and manager were better this time but doesnt help when you cant even eat your food. Will not return will stick with longhorn steakhouse.

Service was great despite it looking very full inside. It’s good that they have plenty of servers for that very reason. Food was also pretty good as well.

Everytime we go to this place for dinner it's very pleasant feeling. Service is good and food is delicious.

Great service and made me feel very comfortable, sanitizer everywhere, Danielle and Lauren were great.

The steak fries are season perfectly, the bread rolls are lovely, and the strawberry lemonade is incomparable.

We went there for my Son in Laws Birthday. It was my husband myself our daughter Son in law and two grand girls. Service was horrible. We waited for our drinks. Finally got our salads Then waited and waited for silverware and plates. After we started to eat our salads our dinner came. No place to to put the food but it came. My steak and daughters steaks were at least 1/2 full of fat. My husband chicken was raw. The grand daughters steak bites were supposed to be cooked well done and came out raw. If I not understand how this place can be so busy with service and food like this. We will not be back. We were not the only table in the place that had a horrible experience. They better get their act together or they will permanently close. Be ware if you go there

Best steak I have had in a long while! My medium was cooked perfectly, husband's medium well was too which is major points in his book! I had a gift card that I havent been able to use for quite awhile, and finally decided to brave the wait to use it. Im from Fayetteville and that being the only TX roadhouse ive had much experience with, ive never been willing to wait before. Im so glad i did in Matthews.

The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff has always been attentive, helpful, and courteous. This was my first visit since they moved, and the new location is fabulous. The large open parking lot is a more convenient than the previous one. I only hope that they add Fried Okra to their menu one day.
